Previously, he was President at Kenetech Energy Systems Inc., successfully managing the development of electric generation projects, as well as a global operating portfolio of wind, gas, biomass, and oil-fired projects.
Mr. Alvarez began his career with the San Francisco law firm of Thelen, Marrin, Johnson & Bridges (now Thelen, Reid & Priest), where he was a partner specializing in commercial and project finance.
